I am passionate about photography. Ever since I took my first photo in my teens I have loved seeing life around me captured in a still moment. I come from an artistic and creative background so I like to blur the line between Art and Photography.

After years of taking countless photos of my children I went on to explore black and white film in my home darkroom, and then Photoshop. I ventured into the world of digital photography in 2009 when I purchased my first digital SLR camera. What I have achieved through my photography has been self taught.
My favourite subjects are people in general and females in particular. Whatever the subject though, I am always striving for an emotive response from the viewer when they see my images.

In May 2012 I submitted an image to the project, “Expressions of Mankind”. Deep Water Running My black and white photograph, ‘Deep Water Running’, was one of 44 images chosen from 100,000 entries worldwide, to be shown on 86,000 digital screens around the globe on the 8th October, 2012. This image was also published in the book, “A Day in the World”.

In January 2013 I joined Australian Photographic Society and started entering National and International Salons with great success. I have been thrilled to receive a surprising number of awards and medals.

Even though it has been many years since I took my first photo it feels as if I am just beginning because I have so many images I wish to create. It is an exciting journey.
